New Garage Roof

Mr B and F replaced the roof on my garage.  Good-bye grey asbestos cement with peeling bitumen; hello corrugated galvanized iron with juniper green 'plastisol' outside and an anti-condensation layer on the inside.

Mr B even fixed the leaking guttering at the back too.  It hasn't made my garage any warmer, but it is a good deal drier.

They replaced the roof on the neighbours's adjoining garage for him too.  I nearly managed to get in there and inspect - one of the few places I haven't managed to check out in all the time we have been here.

Doing the next door roof meant F spent nearly half a day sitting on his roof cutting back the overgrown trees and out-of-control grapevine.  Shame.  It was good cover.

F then spent days processing several bucketsful of green grapes into sour juice for her cooking  ('ver jus'  apparently)  - gallons of it.   You humans eat some pretty awful stuff.
