We've got nice neighbours 2 houses away. F calls them 'active and elderly'. Strange names but human names all sound strange to me.
I've been cultivating them for a while and I think we've developed a very nice arrangement. They tend to stay indoors in the winter, with the heating on all day. Mr B and F, on the other hand, go out somewhere and expect me to make do with the unheated garage.
What would you do? An attractive and intelligent cat - warm house vs cold garage?
Mr B and F know nothing about this of course and I work hard to keep it that way. If I hear F's voice delivering veg at the front door of No 16, I slip out the back.
