Since Monday there has been a dramatic drop-off in the numbers of people out walking, and the size of the groups they are walking in. To all intents and purposes the world has returned to normal in this part of Greece if the view from the balcony is anything to go by.
Traffic has increased to normal and along with it the noise and pollution.
Cafes along the road are still closed however, but the shoreline is crowded again on warm days, people are swimming, and the fisherman in the row-boat has returned each morning; as have the fishers on the shoreline.
Walkers are back to just the dedicated: solo dog-walkers, people going to bus-stops, a delivery guy pushing a barrow of boxes up a street too narrow for his big van.
Cyclists have disappeared again.
The expensive motor-yachts never stopped going by in the Saronic Gulf, and we are still seeing those. They make it look like one rule for some .....
