My blog got 7 views (and a follower - Welcome new follower) from the Isle of Man. I asked F if there is an Isle of Cat.
It turns out there is (and it's not in Greece). Get this:
They all look related to me (which I suppose is not surprising on an island).
And did you know that a group of cats is called a clowder? A clowder of cats.
No? Well, neither did we. There's one to add to your next quiz night.
Well, the Isle of Man is famous for its tailless cats!
ReplyDeleteSo how do they do 'fat tail' then? It's a really important part of 'spiky cat'.
DeleteThey are apparently a very placid breed. Some info here about them..

I guess they'd have to be. I'm a placid cat but I still do 'fat tail' from time to time just for the fun of it. Don't you ever do something that gets the blood pumping just for the fun of it?
DeleteI love the word 'clowder'. It seems to describe your clan. Or am I just thinking of fish chowder and howuch you'd enjoy that too
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it make you wonder who came up with these collective nouns. Perhaps we should research some other weird ones and blog them - we have heard of a parliament of owls.
DeleteClowders and Parliaments - that was my chuckle for the morning :))
ReplyDeleteIf we find any more we'll post them just to brighten your winter.

ReplyDeleteI had known about the 'clowder', Tigger ... but had also forgotten it, so thanks for the reminder! I'm not sure I've ever known anyone from the IoM... interesting. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Ahhh - my Aunty Audrey had a sister living on IoM. Mr B wanted to go there for a famous motorbike racing event but we've never made it. We just watch it on TV every year.
