Since our local Thes Gala closed down F has gone back to drinking her coffee black, rather than buy milk in plastic bottles from the local shop. I have come to the conclusion that means twice as much coffee....
Does anyone else you know drink their coffee out of a bowl? Once upon a time half of that would have been hot milk.

ReplyDeleteeuch... I am so allergic to coffee... I might drink my tea from a bowl, if I had such a pretty one! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
F has sympathy for allergies to social hot drinks - "cup of tea?" is such an opening line both in NZ and UK and despite a life time of enjoying it, strangely she can't drink tea these days. However she discovered Redbush and drinks that (and other herbal brews) out of an even bigger bucket than the coffee bowl. I've got a theory that if she needs two hands to pick up the hot drink she spends a little time savouring it and the pause in the day, rather than absent-mindedly pouring it in while doing other things. Which brings me to the subject of bowls.... no, actually I might blog about the bowls.
Delete...oh good, I look forward to that! Yes, I have cound that Rooibos gives me heartburn. But I do love turmeric and ginger tea, fennel and nettle, and other such concoctions... Yxx
DeleteF suspects you too drink concoctions from a certain company whose name has also been associated with pies (probably no relation) and seems to mean 'the real thing', the genuine article', 'no BS'. At least they promise NO plastic in their packaging.
DeleteRight now. If I didn’t have coffee I’d go postal
DeleteIt is the broth of the gods me thinks
😄 never heard it described as broth of the gods - good one. We know lots of people who would agree. As for going postal - haven't heard that in a while. Have you read Terry Pratchet's book "Going Postal"?
