Anyway the excitement today is a Gin Palace with lots of toys parked in our little cove.
Mr B and I have been watching it all day: a tender, toys for towing swimmers, and a powered surfboard (jet ski without handlebars?)
AND our neighbour Pan came over for coffee and gave us another impromptu clever performance - this time with 4 heavy globes slightly smaller than tennis balls. She can make them flow round and round each other through her hands like they are some sort of aliens controlled by upside down spiders. If your eyes just watch the globes they sort of become detached from the world behind them and everything takes on a slightly surreal visual quality of flowing crystal glass (in clear and blue) and waving fingers. Fingers waving in a glass stream....
She was pretty amazed by the Gin Palace too (never seen one parked there before, and she's lived here like forever), so we all joked about parking our boat out there now that Mr B is back home. Or, that they knew about her juggling and were just preparing so send the tender ashore to pick her up to go out and perform.
Mr B said "joking aside - some of these big yachts do arrange stuff like that for their paying clients."
F says we are finally leaving on our road trip this weekend. Stand-by for more from....
"Travel-Writer Tigger".
Enjoy your trip, although it sounds like you had a sort-of trip with Pan's globes!

ReplyDeleteOh my, a 'stinkboat' (strine-ism). The occupants tend not to be environmentalists. Golly, you are lucky to have Pan available to cross your eyes like that!
WOOOHHOOOOOOOO.... you be sure to travel safely all of you and I look forward to your repawting, Mr T. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Enjoy your Road Trip. I look forward to hearing all about it :) xx
ReplyDeleteThe water looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteStill cold here. So no swimming. Even if we were able to get out to the beach
