Turning on the LIghts

Celebrated with a shot of raki (I declined) the lights around our balcony were officially turned on earlier this week.

This is me pretending not to care.

My humans don't do extravagant or eye-searing but they don't agree even on these ones - Mr B likes his flashing and strobing. F, if they have to dance at all,  prefers a gentle twinkling of her lights. He's a punkrocker and she is more Tibetan meditation music.

I just want my dinner.

    1. I have a go at the Xmas tree every year. Most of my toys over the years have been garnered off the lower brnaches of said tree. I like the way the baubles bounce and skitter around the tile floor here. (Plastic not glass. The glass ones are out of my reach.)

    1. F says thank you. I don't think they taste of much really. How's your sorting and packing going?

  4. My preference is for gentle twinkles as well. Bright lights that flash too fast give me a headache.

    1. Lots of things seem to give F a headache - she doesn't like my poetry readings for that reason. Mittens, I'm sure you would enjoy the poetry. 😽Xxx Mr T

  5. They look lovely. I too just like them on. No flashing lights are to create an ambience
    Not to distract I say

    1. F reckons the best xmas lights she ever saw were in Le Touqet in France. Driving onto town in the dark they went through an area of trees (small forest perhaps - hard to tell in the dark, no houses anyway) and someone had decked them out with small white christmas lights that appeared and disappeared, hidden by branches as you moved along. If you believed in Christmas fairies that was the place to find them. The gentle twinkles looked like glow worm caves or fireflies.

  6. We put up our outside lights a few nights ago. They somehow make me feel safer in this isolated outpost . Steady lights. I don't like flashing ones . There's no young grandson around just now to climb up on the roof and put the star up there. Minimal is better .
And raki definitely for the master of lights. Can stand the stuff myself
