The eagled eyed - or good knitters - might have spotted the mistake in the grey pullover. Rest assured, F has spotted it now too and fixed it.
The silly woman went looking for stupid mistakes before she sewed it together, and made the stupid mistake of not seeing what was in front of her eyes; and on the front of the jumper where she simply couldn't leave it and still be able to sleep at night.
She contemplated - briefly - adopting the philosophy applied to good Persian rugs (there is a deliberate mistake in all the handmade ones, because only Allah is perfect), but decided there are enough other mistakes and imperfections which are less obvious, that fixing the really glaring one would not be an act of immodesty or an insult to Allah.
Onward... we've a stash to bust

ReplyDeleteooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh look at all that yarn..... look at all that ORANGE yarn....... not too much makes the YAMster drool but that will do it!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx (who confesses she didn't look that critically at the jumper and now goods to go look again!!!)
I"m eyeing up all that wool, her stitching looks very clever.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fraction of what we had a year ago. She has promised that none of what got moved here will still be in the box when we move away again (2 more years)

ReplyDeleteI must confess I didn’t spot the mistake
But your right. If I spot a mistake in my work I have to pull it out and fix it
