Day Off

We are having a day (or possibly two) off posting.  F's got shingles again. It makes her a bit tired and grizzly.  So here are all our saved up photos of ships and boats we've seen around here in the last week or three.

Thank you for all those shippy piccies, Mr T... and pass on my POTP wishes to F. That shingles is no fun to have around. A sure sign that things are getting too much. Time out definitely the way to go. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. F says she has had shingles 6 or 7 times since 1993 - about once every four years on average - and reckons they come round with the Olympics. Guess what got delayed last year and is going ahead this year.....Furrings and purrings Mr T

    2. Near where I live is a beautiful bay and I always count the ships and boats we can see - in thirty years there has never bene a day when the bay is empty. There is something poetic about boats on the ocean

  3. I don’t know what will make you feel better Ms F…..but I’m hoping you have bucket loads of it in the house. Stroking Mr T might help, touching soft silky fur is very comforting.

    1. Mr T has been an especially close friend the last few days (and nights). Perhaps he knows his human is a bit under the weather. He is a very good doctor.

    1. F might get the vaccine but when she first got this about 28 years ago the Dr prescribed an antiviral drug and said this would weaken the virus in her body so any subsequent outbreaks would be milder to non-existent. 5 medicated outbreaks later and it has sown no abatement and no sign of giving up the fight. She's on 6 or 7 times now. And the strange thing is that when everyone else in her school was going down with chicken pox she didn't appear to have it and carried on throughout (aged about 5). Her mum and grandmother gave her a really thorough check over and found 1 spot in her hair . She wonders if the vaccine will work on this determined damned virus.

  5. What a variety. I would be glued to the bacony watching the parade I think. That Grimaldi ship is huge. Reminds me of that ship stuck in the Suez canal with that tiny bulldozer giving it a shove, or not.
Hope you get over those hives quickly F.
