What a start to the day! F left the door open while she was preparing her bike so I sauntered off down the stairs.
The next thing F heard was the neighbour talking to a cat (humans use silly voices to talk to cats) and trying to put it outdoors. Yes, that was me. She came racing downstairs and saved me, and got a shock when she picked me up to discover that my feet were wet 'to the elbows'. Well I was trying to explain to them both that they needed to go to the basement - 'there's a lake down there!'
All that heavy rain has flooded the basement. We have a storage room down there - that's why I go down to check on it from time to time. I don't know what they are going to do about the water. When F turned on the light to try and determine how I got wet feet she revealed that the water is already turning a bright, anti-freeze bright, shade of green.
Later in the day a crane barge went past with plenty of escorts. On the best zoom her phone is capable of it looked like this:
Next thing I see her with the thing Mr B puts in front of his face when he is looking at the sea balanced on the balcony railing, and trying to line that up with the camera spot on her phone; which resulted in a picture that looked like this:
and so on.
She tried to convince me it's art. I call it messin' about, or just 'A MESS'.
