Eye Roll

F went out this morning with her sewing machine in my Donkey.  She came back with 9 plant pots she has scavenged out of a skip (and no sewing machine).

I am so glad there hadn't been room on the Donkey for me.  I'd have been mortified - feral cats go dumpster diving and my household is supposed to be civilized, not feral.

Big eye-roll.  (I can't seem to find one of those little face things that conveys that.)

She says she now has enough big pots for all the chili plants and can afford to give them away.

Give them away in small pots I say.  Let someone else rummage about in skips.

  1. I wish I could find those in a skip here, of course we call ours trash bins, but whatever we call it, those are a real FIND. pots like these are very expensive here... You look amazing Tigger. now will we hear what happened to the sewing machine? inquiring minds are pondering!
We lost 5 of our 7 giant sized hibiscus bushes in the past 2 years, aphid and snails and other chewers and drought combined. we only have two left and are battling the bugs with them, i think all this is part of our climate change problems. by this time of year our yard was a blooming jungle, but the last of that was 3 years ago and it gets worse each day

    1. It's like that song: the cat came back, the cat came back, the very next day... The sewing machine came back, the very next day. It looks the same to me. I'm sorry to read about the demise of your jungle. Jungles are very attractive to cats. xxx Mr T

Phew, I had the same question... but I am guessing the s/m went for a 'tune up' at the s/m doctor... and having the space available, I think I have to applaud F's rummaging!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  3. Looking majestic in that photo tigger. We have a high fail rate with post - never seem to get the watering right.

    1. F takes the lacksidaisical approach to watering pots - wait till something wilts then give everything a good soaking. (She also found that gel that retains water mixed into the compost saves a lot of grief.)

  5. Don't know if it's my thing, going into rubbish skips but looks like she found some good things.

    1. F said it was a house clearance not a rubbish skip in the daily garbage sense. Greeks throw away everything it seems. They don't have Freecycle, TradeMe, or Fleabay.
