Calm and Overcast Sunday.

I sang an aria for F really early this morning - it felt like an 'up and at 'em' sort of day.  It was almost eerily calm (F says she would hate to be on one of those yachts we saw racing towards the Peloponnese yesterday; they will need to be coming back today), and we counted 24 little fishing boats on the sea in front of us.

Fishing boats like this one but further out like the one between here and that ship, and not available to be photographed with a phone.  (The ship isn't really driving uphill!  We aren't sure what that dark line is, but it isn't the horizon)

24.

About half of them were in quite a tight group, suggesting a big school of something they wanted to catch.

F did some yoga that was meant to push her reset button.  If it did, it reset her in sleep mode and I had to prod her awake to get some lunch and secretarial services.

Our day is overcast with just the gentle-est puffs of breeze, but still very warm and the beach filled up with people enjoying the outdoors without risk of being roasted.  Someone down there started singing arias as well - to entertain the swimmers - and people were applauding.

It has been a gentle sort of day all round.

Gentle is about the best one can ask of a Sunday, Tigger ol' boy.

That dark line is likely to be a channel in the water, either from current or possibly a ghost-line from a ship out of shot... Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. it does look like the water is pouring out and down a hill. Yam's answer looks good but I am still pondering what it is.... gentle is always GOOD for me.... so is napping and i wish I had someone to wake to make my dinner

  3. Oh to be sitting on the beach, or balcony listening to an aria. A wonderful balmy day. It was here too, just over the horizon. We had an ouzo on the front terrace. No umbrella needed

    1. Tigger use to take part, but the novelty seems to have worn off. He just watches from his satellite dish.
