They are Home.

They delivered my last series of postcards in person - along with some back scratches and ear tickles.

F went straight to work on her computer, she said something about wheels falling off but I hadn't realized that ships had wheels.

Oh?  Really? OK - apparently they have steering wheels.

Anyway we are all sort of normal again.  My postcards are:

1. The Lion Gate at Mycenae

link

2. The Hellinikon Pyramid (don't get too excited, it isn't big, or complete)

3. Some flowers - the kind of which we found on our beach last year (so not new)

4. A view across the plains to Nafplio

And

5. the real Hellinikon Pyramid - the first one was the model or maquette that gave them the idea (or maybe it was the rock from the top...)

link

My jammy humans freebied their way into the Ancient Mycenaean site; as did also bus loads of foreign tourists all accompanied by knowledgeable guides armed with screeds of pages of information to recite at their captive audiences.  My humans said the information boards about the place did a pretty good job and you could walk away from them when they got boring.  There is only so much you can say about another pile of broken rocks that represent the foundations of a building that succumbed to fire about 3000 years ago.  The museum however, containing artifacts dug out of the site (I believe 'carefully excavated from' is the correct term) was reportedly really interesting and I might have liked to see that.

NB: 'Freebied' means they arrived somewhere that tickets normally costs Euro20 on a day when entry was free - a Tuesday this time.  It is usually first Sunday of the month....

Gotta love a freebie... Seems the peeps had a worthwhile trip away, Tigger, but I bet you are all glad to be getting back into the home groove... especially with an impending festive day upon us! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. It's not often we get something for free either but scratches and pats for Tigger don't cost anything.
