None of them really ended up making a story on their own to here they all are together in a sort of round-up of last year's weird and wonderful...
We'll start with some wonderful
More weird (from a Tigger point of view)
Some wonderful...
Turtle in the gardens in Nafplio |
Candle flower (Hoya) on the front of a local church |
And then there's the weird...
You might recall I did a post on pavements/footpaths (link). F subsequently captured this couple 'watering' the fake grass on the the footpath in front of their place (Piraeus). |
Wee lizard in our house on Lefkada (wonderful) |
Like 'where's Wally?' - spot the Tigger. (Oddball) |
Mr B's find... |
Some wonderful...
This guy rows his boat. |
F discovered the 'panorama' feature on her phone camera. We counted 28 little fishing boats out there that day. |
you sure saw a lot out there, stupid people with motors on the boat, that takes the prize. also watering the street and fake grass is at the top of stupid. I don't get fake grass anyway. maybe it had mud in it. I tried the panorama on my phone and it is just to tiny to see. yours looks good though. wow, 6 dogs 1 walker.. wow again.. I know you were watching that from a far distance...
ReplyDelete7 actually - and some days there is a Mr Dogwalker with another handful of them. Too damned right I stay well out of the way, but they are on strings so somewhat safer than stringless ones which are about as trustworthy as an exocet missile with no guidance system.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfurs display of 'randomness' Tigger ol' chap. F is fair handy with that phone cam!!! Now, as to the 'where is Tigger' ... I think you must be scrunched into one of those cracks between rocks - but that is pure guess work on my part!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
OK - I'll get F to publish it again with an arrow. Furrings and purrings Yam-aunty, from Mr T
DeleteCertainly some weirdly interesting ones there. Here, some shop owners water the pavements outside their sho to remove the piles of doggy-doohs that appear mysteriously overnight.
ReplyDeleteI looked and looked and could not find you, Tigger. You blend right in! Great photos, had a laugh at the “grass” watering. Maybe it was dusty?
ReplyDeleteLoved your oddballs. Even K would have replaced that car cover. Sorry Tigger, didn't spot you either
ReplyDeleteWow, what an eclectic mix of photos! I loved the turtle one best, laughed at the grass watering one the most, and gave the Stupid Award to the motorboat. I couldn't find Tigger either!!
ReplyDeleteI collect photos for my blog too - all sorts of odd things - usually quirky trees or bark patterns or abstract stone patterns from the beach. It's a good idea to post them - perhaps I should do a wordless wednesday or something and post some every now and again.
ReplyDeleteGo one do it - you don't have to challenge our social consciences or prompt deep nostalgia every time you appear on our screens (although we do read your blogs for exactly those reasons)
DeleteFunny I have exactly the same Hoya in my garden which is over 25 years old and was my grandmother's.
ReplyDeleteThat's impressive - F has always thought of them as super sensitive house plants (coming as she does from the frozen south). The ladies at the church were almost dismissive - you know 'what? that old thing? what's impressive about that?' sort of reaction.
