Can you tell...

....that I am doing a round up of photos and quirky stuff we've noticed and collected in recent weeks?

We stopped for lunch one day we were out... pulled off the road onto a flat area beside a tiny locked-up chapel shoe-horned in between road and railway line.  While Mr B was transforming the mini kitchen in the back of my van and making hot drinks, F and I went for a look around.

On the shady side of the chapel we spied the remains of a building which had been constructed out of enormous square cut blocks of stone. Trees were growing out of it and there was no telling to our untrained eyes what human use it had originally been built to satisfy.

Behind the chapel some lengths of preformed railway track had been stacked up. It was also hard to say whether they were 'coming out', or meant to have been 'going in', they have been there for so long.

Moving them now is going to be an interesting exercise in pulling the skewers out of the kebab.

After all that F got her hot drink and then poured it into a sort of pouch thing on the inside of the passenger door of the van. The pouch thing distributed the liquid onto the carpet, and then there was a general rushing about of humans cleaning up the mess.

I don't make messes like that.

  1. Well, I would prefer to drink my coffee, but whatever floats your boat.

Something tells me that F wasn't planning that hot liquid dispersal... As for the random rails, one wonders where the railway actually went; that's quite a lot of hardware to have abandoned. hugs and whiskeris, YAM-aunty xxx

  3. well this is really odd! it makes a great photo what ever the story is.. oh noooo on the spill. Yes, we have Red Hat Society and they all wear Red and Purple. its a big thing for those who like to do things like that. for some reason your comment and eileens comment came into my email and is in dashboard comments but is not showing on Madsnapper. very odd, all comments are showing on 4 paws. the man paid 130,000 and has it listed at 399,00 but it is lipstick on a pig.. am doing a post about it, might do two

  4. Spilled coffee is not what she had planned I’m sure
Who knows what all that was supposed to be
Maybe I’d was something for during the war?
A weapons or food storage and the tracks were used to transport it to where it was needed

  5. Oh, poor F. I'm sure she never meant to make a mess like that.
Mittens made a mess last night - she brought a dead mouse, 2 leaves, and some dead grass into my bedroom and was not a popular puddy-tat for a few minutes :)
