Postcard on a Night Out

I was wondering when F would send me the postcard. I helped Mr B book this as a surprise for F.

The spooky story is that Mr B put a postcard like this on his Mugbook. His sister at the other end of the country saw it. 10 minutes later a friend of hers posted a photo taken from the other side of the stage. It didn't take a sleuth to work out that the friends' picture might have F and Mr B in the background.....and it did.

The Main Act

Royal Albert Hall

I suspect they arrived early....

Madness. Complete Madness.

  1. I love the hall, that is a beautiful building and I like the shape. Had a laugh at the arriving early. we do that too. always early, never late. the story of the photos is way cool. it is indeed a very small world we live in despites its true size.

    1. Mr B had never been to Royal Albert Hall so this outing ticked that off his bucket list as well. It is possibly most famous atound the world for "The Proms" - usually a couple of weeks of musical performances in August every year. F has been a few times to RAH but never to the Proms. Getting tickets to the Proms is nigh on impossible for anyone but the most dedicated.

MOL... madness worth the waiting for I suspect!!! Wonder if the evening involved Red, Red Wine? Did Mr B wear Baggy Trousers? There are some who would say the band are Yesterday's Men, but not me. What I do know is that for you and Mr B to organise that for F, It Must Be Love!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. F said lots of OAPs were chaperoned into their night out by their (usually) daughters. Someone has to make sure the forgetful old things get the right bus home. There was a definite age profile to the audience. xxx Mr T

  3. How wonderful of you and Mr B to book that surprise for F. Who is in the first photos, I recognise his face, but cannot put a name to him. I like Madness and would love to see them live. The Royal Albert Hall must be a great venue to see and hear concerts. Good to hear the trip is going well and you are getting lots of postcards and reports.

    1. Paul Weller - which was an extra bonus not mentioned in the original billing (or Mr B had missed that bit).

Did the friends catch up after the show. I hope so.

    1. Unfortunately the two sides of the stage didn't know each other. Their only connection was Mr B's 'stalking' sister about 400 miles away.

    3. Gail says she would love to go to the Albert Hall and see Madness. I am a bit put out by this, having thought I was providing quite enough Madness for her at the moment. Well Suggs, I think you've just upped the ante...
      Toodle-oo!
      Nobby.
PS The pictures of the Albert Hall remind Gail of her time studying at the Royal School of Mines, just across the road.
