Another busy week has come to an end and F looked in her phone for anything remotely nature related that we spotted AND got a photo of this week.
She was being a potato in Mr B's armchair and nature came to F in the form of a butterfly that ventured in through the big open door and landed on the arm of the chair and flexed its wings a bit.
(All the open wing photos looked like a butterfly in heavy fog.... you just get these two.)
That's lovely. A lot of my birdwatching consists of sitting on the sofa and looking out the window!

ReplyDeleteI'll take those two - plus you!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx (who is being kept very entertained by a certain young WFT from Aberdeen...)
Nawww it came to say hello.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you smell as pretty as a flower and it had to come in to smell you
Tigger, you and F would love to see what our butterflies do. the red admiral looks a lot like this one and they are terriorial. they come and sit on Bob's head and my gown, they land on our arms, we stand in their territory and it is the most fab feeling when it lights on the bare arm. they have been missing since drought and 2020 and now are coming back, we saw 2 yesterday. Are you dreaming of looking fierce like the tiger? you do resemble him if your furs were orange. Beau does take dog naps, during the morning. he goes to sleep on the sofa at 12 noon and sleeps from then until the next morning at 3:15 am. gets up for his breakfast and goes back to sleep until 6, during the fireworks he could not sleep because they popped off and on all afternoon.
ReplyDeleteBeing a potato is good, Bruno and Mr Cat arent that interested in insects but Bruno caught his first South Island bird last week, luckily we were able to get the poor thing back outside.
