From Our Garden

Last weekend, after a busy day of lawn-mowing, bramble bashing, brash shredding, catnip rolling, and some sawing up of firewood, we wandered back out into a lovely calm evening just before sunset to see a weird cloud formation erupting out of the roof of a neighbour's house.

It went right across the sky but phone camera lens can only cope with so much, and the inside of half a globe is bigger than 'so much'.
Relaxing after a hard day's supervising.

  1. Looks more like early retirement to me Tigger. Looks like your neighbour is preparing for lift off in photo #1

  2. Well Tigger I see you have had a busy week. My name is Moki and I am a 14 yrs cat here in Australia. I am your number 23 follower (I think). Like you I also love my garden and spend a lot of time sleeping on my own canvas “directors chair” in the shade. Yes, I am a Director. Of my own show. My interests, in order of importance to me are food, my human (to buy the food of course), sleeping, getting out into my garden and keeping an eye out for a certain pesky other cat who tries to sneak up on me. I never leave home. Wandering around the ‘hood alone is just looking for trouble in my opinion. Now we are introduced I look forward to hearing more about your exciting life. You type really well for a cat.

Hiya Tigger - been wondering how things are going with you - and I see you have settled in very well indeed! Prime spot, I'd say. Nice bit of cloud spotting, too - I do like a well-dressed sky... hugs and whiskeries, YAM_aunty xxx

  8. One of the local garden centres here sell catnip in a dried form and we've bought a bag for Bruno and Mr Cat, they go quite batty when they have a sniff of it, btw in answer to your question yes fisher and paykel are still going here, they are based in Auckland.

    1. You could probably grow the stuff (catnip) Fs Mum used to use it as a border plant - Ashburton. Then she was silly enough to complain that all the local cats would roll in her borders🤣🙄 F has to use one of those wire hanging basket things upside down and secured with tent pegs to save ours from being squashed to death. I can only nibble the stuff that grows beyond.... xxx Mr T
