Shawn

F went for a haircut on Saturday

I meanwhile hid from a sqwalling bawling small human that seemed only to want her Mummy. (Mummy had taken her big brother to play golf.) Hiding is a good policy because I seem to be the only thing that distracts her from all that noise and wetness.

Mr B had to do the small-human-sitting on his own. I wasn't going to help. Angry upset small humans have a way of doing unpredictable things....I saw her trying to wreck her toys so I wasn't about to put myself in the firing line.

F just sort of sloped off. I get the impression she doesn't know much about small humans either. When she got back I changed her name to Shawn! . (Teeheehee). 🙀😹

I have seen Mr B packing his big sailing bag again. That means he is going somewhere and I will have the house to myself on F's commuting days.

Science is going well. The first product tried is nice to scratch around in, light enough to fling all over the place, sticks nicely to my furry toes so that I can deposit it on the carpets, and is really good at making sure there is no smell (for that last bit alone we all love it).

  1. Poor Mr B. I would have plonked that noisy little hunan outside and shut the door.

    1. F too probably, which might be why she made a tactical retreat.

  2. Smart of F to stay out of range, too!

    1. Things were being thrown so retreat was necessary. Terrible twos.

MOL... bit of a short back and sides, was it? And your work-from-home snoopervision skillz are to be greatly admired, Tigger mate. As for wee crabby hyoomons... I don't "do" them either. Never really saw the point to them. (Oh, some inner voice has just yelled at me something about perpetuating the species... has to be done I s'pose. Not by me.) Keep up the good research. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. More short back and no sides Yam-Aunty - but she seems to like it that way. F doesn't mind them once they are big enough to reason with. This one should be approaching that size - her brother was amenable to reason at the same age - but she seems to prefer the emotional response.ikjmhn (bit of Tigger typing there) furrings and purrings Mr T

  4. We feel the same way as you do about small crying humans best left to someone else to take care of. You did really good and you'll do fine staying home by yourself. Glad you're getting all settled and found just the right litter for your box science does work and so does Tigger

    1. We have two more to try. This one only satisfies 1 criteria that we both agree on. Mr B is getting tired to vacuum-cleaning the carpet where I have walked it out of my en suite. Even the fancy mats that are meant to capture it are less efficient than hoped for. it is all just amusing to me, the Tigger.

  6. Makes me tired too Moki - which is why I like supervising office work.

  7. Nobby - we visited an elderly family member yesterday and her K9 has a strange square of turf on the balcony. Sensibly it has refused to regard the balcony as an en suite, much to the annoyance of elderly family member, and the K9 gets to go walkies more often. Probably good for both of them. Elderly family member is suffering memory loss issues, and can't remember if the K9 has been fed, so feeds it again, and again.....and again. F and Mr B are trying to work out whether writing the day and date on each tin of food would help the rationing, or whether family member is already so far gone that knowing what day it is has become irrelevant. Paw smacks Mr T

  8. You always have great tales (tails) to tell about your everyday observations. Looking forward to your allotment adventures Tigger. Roll on Spring.

    1. Thank you Dave. Every day has to have something in it worth living for - even if it is merely the hope that a certain small human grows up real soon.

  9. I have to say Bruno and Mr Cat would run a mile if they heard a crying bubba, mind you I'd just want to hug it I think. To answer your question since Bruno is a bit of a juvenile we haven't put a tree up since we've had him, so I don't know whether he would go for the decorations or not but last time we did Mr Cat was investigating various bits and pieces and playing with the odd thing. I think us not putting one up for a while is more to do with taking it down and putting everything away, you get to a point sometimes I think where the cleanup is annoying.

  10. Mittens and Millie also hide from those small noisy humans. Actually, they hide from most humans that visit here! And they both hid at 4.30am this morning when a vagrant tom invaded the house and caused the residents much grief before it found the way out again :)

  11. My cat does the exact same thing. When little ones arrive. She hides in the spare room
Trixie on the other hand loves them. The more active the better
