New Small Human

Mr B is going on a road trip to visit a new small-human called a grandson.  Fortunately for me the new small-human lives many hours drive away so he and I will not be plaguing each other's lives particularly often.  The poor kid has already been nicknamed Tosh by Mr B because the first picture we ever had of him was a scan with the brandname of a television (or scanner maker) at the top.

Therefore Tosh he shall remain, at least for the purposes of this blog.  That will distinguish him from twizzle (terrible 2 year old small-human granddaughter),  tiger (bearable 6-year old small-human grandson), and Giggle-Monster (original, now 13 year old, and not really small-human any more, granddaughter).

F is working in London, and I am home alone....

........with a generous supply of cardboard.

  1. You can never have enough small humans, Mr T.

  2. Will F be getting the knitting needles out….you’ll have a grand time helping her make little woolies for a little boy.

    1. Definitely no knitting. His maternal grandmother knitted a hat prior to baby arrival and mum-to-be decided that everything needed to be sterilized before use. Said hat could now be used as a thimble. Some people simply have no idea how to care for knitwear.

  3. Cardboard is a cure for many ills. And a consolation for a pesky new human.

    1. this one might not be pesky - being as far away as it is. However I agree that cardboard is the answer to everything.

Well, Tigger - first, congrats to Mr B on the new addition to his clan (and F, by default). But mainly I am delighted to see a post from you - I kid you not when I say that last night before sleeping I could not help but wonder how you are doing and that it had been some time... I wonder how the food tests have been going, and the litter tests... and the art??? Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. We are managing one and sometimes two posts a week Yam-Aunty. Combo of weather, commuting, small-human-sitting, and endeavours of F to engage in something called 'exercise', provide her with blog-fodder but less so me. I simply new secretary Yam-Aunty. Hiring now..... furrings and purrings Mr T

Yeah, difficult getting good help these days - (at least, that's what peeps in Westminster are muttering. They don't seem to understand work requires adequate compensation). Anyhoo - I realised after I posted that first comment that you had posted less than three days earlier, so you must have wondered what I was wittering on about. It just seemed an age since I saw you - then realised it was more that I haven't seen you on comments at my place and that is definitely a long time now! But I guess that falls back to your argument re secretaries and availability! h&w Y-a xxx

  7. Good news on being home alone. Obviously it means that you can reorganise the homestead to your liking. Arilx

  9. Small hoomans show that the circle of life goes on. I'm sure Tigger will prefer his silence over a baby crying though but for me I don't mind either cat or baby. To answer your sentence about rain on the west coast, the north island has had more rain over the last year than we have funnily enough, so far we've had a very last few months with temps up to 33 degrees. The weather forecast is always saying we are due for rain but no such luck, even in winter we didn't get that much.
