Spring into Friday

This one smells like honey.

F has a book that says humans can eat these (she's  not going to try)

Crocuses a poor showing compared to Nobby's discovery in Duthie Park.

That's it - a quick tour round under the apple tree, and then I dashed back indoors. That is enough nature for a cool Spring morning.

Oh, but salad flowers and leaves are yummy, Tigger - tell F one of my faves that I used to grow is Nasturtium....mmmmmm peppery and a hint of honey and very yummy... I love seeing you out checking the garden, mate. You clearly belong! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  3. Dear YAM-aunty my F humum eats calendula, nasturtiums, borage and chive flowers, tiny pansy things, roses, sweet cicely, and the flowers off most herbs. The cyclamen leaves just look like they are saying don't eat me but apparently are used for dolmades in some parts of the Med. I stick to grass, plain and simple. Xxx Mr T

  6. Are you able to get supplies of your special stuff’…….the stuff that makes you feel good and go rolly polly on the ground? Now that had sweet smelling leaves (and a distinctive odour) that people of your ilk are known to taste.

  7. We are still sitting in the doorway when Mum opens it for us, it's still too cold for us to venture into the garden, but we are a few years older than you Tigger.

  8. Beautiful signs of spring. I don't blame you for not staying out too long. Sunshine is better and more inviting.
