Very Weird
Nice messages (poor misguided people)
Given a great t-shirt that says: 'not my problem any more'.
Perfect.
Absolutely did not want a 'fuss' - or gifts. The t-shirt is the ideal compromise between what I want and what people want to do to mark an event.
An event.
Tomorrow needs to be different to a Saturday. An event.
Haven't decided yet. Should have planned this better.
Something positive and forward looking?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I'm confident your next phase of life will be exciting and rewarding.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.

How about a game of rounders in the park (what park?) followed by fish and chips or candyfloss?

ReplyDeleteIt comes upon one, doesn't it? My event was to retire to India for two and a half years. As you have other serious travel plans, perhaps something closer to home. Visit that gallery you've been meaning to for years. Or museum... or wildlife park. There's something that's been waiting... YAM xx
wow, welcome to retirement. I danced to the car Sept 26, 2006. my team were young people and they had food and decorations and my desk was a mess they created. how close are you to the big move
ReplyDeleteLove that t-shirt !
ReplyDeleteNot only are you turning a corner on the Road of Life, but you are heading off on a completely new road. Enjoy the journey :) xx

ReplyDeleteI’m sure you will find lots of ways to fill your days
Much excitement for the next chapter
Congratulations on retiring. Once you get your days organized, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteRaising a glass to you and the next ‘season’ in your life!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and wishing you grand times ahead!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Look forwards to hearing all your adventures. Arilx
ReplyDeleteSo what are you going to be doing now? Resting or finding another job?
ReplyDeleteThe T shirt sounds very fitting! I hope they didn't make too big a fuss of your last day, although i am sure there are many people who would have loved to show you their appreciation for your years of "service"! I have no doubt you will find lot's to do to fill your time. R says she doesn't think she has ever known you not to find a project or something to do to keep yourself busy! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHow is retirement?
