Of our two and half weeks in Scotland we got one grey day and one day of rain. Study Loch Ness photographed on that grey day (below) and tell me this isn't one of the most beautiful places on earth, just designed to be seen at its best on grey days.
Urquhart Castle (I love the tiny spot of red in this picture) |

Always breathtaking there, almost whatever the weather
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly very photogenic!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, but Gail and Nobby vote for Loch Maree in Western Ross as even more beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, tranquil and definitely home to 'something.'

ReplyDeleteAgreed... But then, I might be a bit biased 🤗 YAM xx
Did you see the real Nessy? We once visited Inverness, the battle of Culloden site and Dalwhinnie distillery.
ReplyDeleteLoving the castle and the scenery.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular shots. Well done. I wanted one of those stuffed nessies but I just couldn’t fit him into my suitcase. I’ll have to go back and get one. One day
ReplyDeleteI am kin to Nessie, ha ha, my great grandfather was from Scotland, Sir Thomas Urquhart on my maternal side of the family
