Parade of geese at Kew Gardens - moving to a new grazing area. They probably keep the grass well clipped (and fertilized) and discourage humans from venturing onto the grass in large numbers. Our back yard crows having a hair-styling moment.
The geese! They are the bosses of any area they take on! They charge little dogs and children and old ladies- I can verify! They are lovely to look at but once one gets to know them they are less so. I have a mache one on my mantle - best behaved goose ever!
Back when I was fit and healthy. We had a permaculture area out back. Everything in there was productive I had gardens and fruit trees chickens, ducks and geese. The geese kept the grass down and they were very good at it. They got on with the chickens and the ducks. It was one big happy family
Looks like one crow was enjoying a tick/flea/lice snack.
ReplyDeleteGeese are entertaining but they do make a lot of mess! I loved seeing the crows grooming.
