Beau

Met at Argyle Park a few days ago - this is WFT Beau. Beau wouldn't look at the camera and when I got down to his level he kept trying to kiss it.

Like a certain other WFT I know, Beau is a ditch diver so his Humum keeps his furs cut short all over. You might be able to observe that Beau had just emerged from Mill Creek.

He sought (and got) lots of scritches. His bodyguard wanted in on the act...

...softer than butter and absolutely adorable but big and heavy and solid; an irresistible force when he leans on you.

  1. I once made friends with a large dog like that, so know all about The Lean - and the thumping Tail Wag that could knock you sideways LOL

  2. Thanks for these photos of handsome Beau.
Gail thinks his legs are not as long as Nobby's, but it could be the camera angle.
Nobby wonders why anyone would NOT be into ditch diving!

    1. The camera angles are foreshortening Beau's legs but he is definitely smaller than Nobby. He is also a tad overweight (unlike Nobby) according to his human.

  3. Adorable, both of them. There's nothing quite like a big dog 'lean.'

Gawjuss!!! I've known two Rotties in the past and both of them like velvet velcro! Beau is every bit as handsome as other WFTs I've had the privilege of knowing. YAM xx

  6. Dogs are characters like those two canine four legged friends.

  7. I too thought of that strong tail wagging by big dogs. They can act like a fan in summer but can almost knock you sideways. Lovely dogs

    1. Even enthusiastic small dog tails can move a lot of cold air (hairy tails give extra effect)

    1. It occurred to me that little dog was a Nobby Beau cross.

  9. Oh dear, the absolute adorableness! last night I made the mistake of looking online at all of the dogs available at the humane society here. I wept!

    1. Big mistake. We are going to get a dog once properly established here and it will have to be a rescue dog.
