Mohawk

Fergus here again: for those of you concerned that Wee Jock was somehow missing out, I have decided to reassure you that The Boss keeps him well entertained. He got to go to Timaru on Friday.

In the nice car.

I got as far as Tinwald Domain - in the rattly old van. And I had to sit around while F changed things on bikes for one of the new families, and again at the hardware store, the collection depot (something in a flat cardboard box went in the back), and the supermarket.

Boring.

Tinwald Domain was great though. Ducks with mohawk hairdos.

Weird trees.

A monarch butterfly (F was too slow with the camera). A foray onto the golf course because there is a water race flowing through it to feed the duck pond in the Domain, and then off-piste into the grounds of the Plains Museum.  I've dragged F in there a few times along the railway line.  There is lots of rusting machinery and stuff, and some kind of village of old buildings. She always makes us go out a gate beside the church or behind the blacksmith's workshop; back into the Domain.

The ducks tried to chase us. I would have chased them back but F had a firm grip on the string attached to my collar and said something about not sporting.

She always picks up rubbish but when I tried to help with half a chicken sandwich, I got firmly instructed to DROP IT.  (I did manage to sample a bit before she realized what I was investigating.)

  2. what a relief, I can stop fretting over Jock.. and so happy you had a great time in the old van.. I love that strange tree, wow, it has bumps, big bumps.. Beau grabbed something to small to see on our walk this morning and did not DROP it, so who knows what it was.

    1. I do that all the time - F thinks it's rabbit pooh. I'm not saying. Yours, Fergus.

  3. Drop the chicken sandwich? Oh NO! What is wrong with human? Does she not realize that thing about survival? Good to leave the ducks alone these days...it has been reported that they have a virus that will make you feel worse than bad. Good human, good string.

    1. We didn't know that about ducks - best avoided then. Oh darn 'cos I like chasing things.

    1. I'm supposed to be losing weight. Losing weight! I'm positively fading away. (And why do emojis have angry cat faces and no angry k9 faces?)
