Yam-Aunty made the observation that my caravan vinyl flooring design is once again all the rage - although not necessarily in sepia tones.

Without even having a house to put it in I had decided that this ...
...will be on the wall behind the stove. 

It's 'painted' on the back of glass.

It only comes in this colour. (Or lack of colour - I was instructed by a scientist cousin eons ago that 'black is absence of colour'.  White on the other hand is all colours.  Something to do with light.  I do recall him illustrating the fact by putting a piece of roast pumpkin in his shirt pocket where, he assured me, it would be black because of an absence of light to give it colour. I guess that's like a point made here ages ago that sound only exists because we have the apparatus to interpret as sound the compression waves that things make when they move.)

Anyway it should make an interesting counterpoint for the cupboard and drawer handles

    Those look just like the tiles in our old house on the floor. Which I promptly covered up with wooden slat flooring. I've been thinking we should uncover them. The boss is not amused.
    Thats a serious amount of what K informs me are, in Greek, German keys

      I saw lots of very cool patterned tiles in some older houses in Greece. I think it is what attracted me to this .

    I would love to have this in my kitchen and new cabinets and counter top.. black is a color to me and I love it and black and white is my favorite, with pops of brilliant colors, as shows in my wannabe art. bob had a lot of those house things in the garage, in fact the two car garage is full of tools.
