Hi - I'm Scully.
I live at 2714.
My family go to work and school during the day and I get bored and lonely.
I used to hang out with the arthritic labrador at 2716 but he moved away late last year. The new neighbours have a corgi but they only visit the place for holidays 3 or 4 weeks a year. When they are in residence I accompany them on walks. Wally the corgi has to walk attached to the end of a string.
I am a free spirit. My humans don't even make me wear a collar.
At 2708 the is a strange woman whom I bark at - shrilly - to make her keep her distance. It's all a charade. I'm a great big (small) softie and I like tummy scratches. 2708 has turned into a camping ground this week. 3 humans are doing stuff so I decided that as they are just across the road and I have nowhere better to go, I should wander over and supervise.
That was good for tummy scratches so I stayed there all day, and my family didn't come home until 8pm so I wheedled my way into dinner time in the caravan, sat by the heater, looked my best 'poor starving me' look and got a pinch of burger and was allowed to lounge on a towel on a bunk until we heard my humans' car crunching down the gravel drive we all share.
2708 might turn out to be a second best, reserve, back-up plan for when no better company is available under best reserve back-up plans A or B. I have inspected their build operation. It needs a roof, and more comforts. It's Spartan to say the least - OK for snacks around midday but really is only my last resort.
Yours Scully
PS - F at 2708 said to tell JayCee that it has all the roof lights you could possibly want - a virtually uninterrupted view of the stars.
love the dog love the new home miss you, you have a dog but not, how cool is that
ReplyDeleteBest kind of dog to have at present.
DeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteOMD, Scully, it's a pleasure to meet you... and you may not know it yet, but the lady called F is a fangtastic anipal and I think you should visit as much as you can! You might get to meet her other pal, Fergus one day... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Fergus hates riding in the car so he would never make a 7 hour trip to visit F.
DeleteWell, Scully, you have landed on your paws, old boy. F is a big softy. Mind you, anyone would fall for your lovely face.
ReplyDeleteSomeone called me a Parson's Jack Russell but F thinks I'm too big for that and I might be a Bitzer.
DeleteA twenty star hotel for Scully. I remember the Liverpool comedy series in the eighties called Scully. He was a real character. He said he was going to the Donkey Isles ( Shetlands) for his holidays.
ReplyDeleteNow we need to research Scully. I was thinking Scully and Mulder
DeleteThanks Scully. I trust you will be there more often to keep us all informed!
ReplyDeleteI'll check from time to time. I have other responsibilities too - like showing visitors around (especially if they have dogs).
DeleteHi Scully, I reckon you've found a good reserve place there !!
ReplyDeleteSecond best stand-by reserve to the back-up plan remember. Other options come ahead of this one.
DeleteHello, Scully! You're a charmer.
ReplyDeleteScully is definitely a loveable tramp. Going around to everyone close to get love, attentive and most importantly food
ReplyDeleteYiassou Scully. Greetings from Greece . That strange woman had a, few friends like you there too. She's a keeper 😊
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have got the paw of approval!
ReplyDeleteI think little dogs are very intelligent but they do like to think they are bigger than they are, at least that's what my foxy use to think when I had her
