Nature Friday - Lichen

Lichens caught my eye while out walking this week. Here is a small selection of what we found.

Smile....

Same scene with K9

Lichens are commonly recognised as a symbiotic association of a fungus and a chlorophyll-containing partner, such as green algae or cyanobacteria (or both).

  3. Isn’t Mother Nature clever. It all looks like a wonderful painting with the lichen adding colour to the grey of the rocks and making the timber “pop” with the extra colours
