Just a splash of colour, in sunshine, to remind us there are simple good things in life.
I have been working on assembling the spouting/guttering. No secret - I wish somebody else would do it. Mecano it isn't despite all the glue and push-fit shapes. Bits of the cabin haven't complied and two small pieces needed to be sawn off. There are clearly tricks of the trade - like which bits to join first - that I've had to learn the hard way (by not joining them first).
Maybe tomorrow I will have one side up and the downpipe connected to direct water away at last.
One down (or up) will mean one to go. Hopefully it will progress more quickly.
Have you tried to YouTube it. I learn everything I need these days using tutorials
ReplyDeleteIm glad the sun is shining for you after all that rain
To those of us unpracticed in the dark arts of house building, guttering seems so simple.
ReplyDeleteYou'll deserve a bottle of Fickle after all that 🥂🍾
Guttering was called troughing or down spouts when I lived in Northwest England. I love a splash of colour.

ReplyDeleteLike me with the van fit-out. Now I've done it once, another go would be much smoother and more finished... but what has been done is just fine and does what it needs to do, so who needs pretty?! YAM xx
The pitcher and cup is beautiful and my favorite color, yay for one spout down, hope the rain holds off until the other is done..
ReplyDeleteGood luck! By the time you've finished you will be an expert, which will be no good to you unless you decide to take up installing guttering as a new career.
ReplyDeletef I am ull of admiration, I kiss the hem of thine garment- - you are the cabin building champion! What a job to take on! It is magic to me- I am incapable of driving a nail or sawing thin boards without breaking the blade. Straight lines baffle me. Carry on- You are working miracles!
ReplyDeleteI love your sunshine cuppa!
Your mug is very pretty! I hope everything will go well!! Juno and mom
ReplyDeleteAre you going to have a water tank? Ours is 36,000 litres. sounds like it's all coming along nicely.
