Views (below) of the Seaward Kaikoura mountain range on my recent trip to Ashburton.
(The truck taking a reluctant road trip was parked opposite a coffee stop in Cheviot. I hope, wherever it's headed, it gets a new lease on life. It was probably built in the days when vehicles were meant to 'last a lifetime'.)

Have you ever wondered about that warranty? Last a lifetime… mine, my remaining, the lifetime of the 'thing' - which might turn out to be a few months or a year or two, or some othe lifetime (the factory that built it perhaps)...?
Today has been one of those when the weather goods seem to be arguing over which of them is on duty🌞🌧🌞🌬🌧🌞🌧🌞🌬🌧🌞🌧
At least we haven't had snow and between showers I've sowed some corn, poked in some sticks for peas to climb on, hacked out some more flowering gorse, and prepared the warm sunny garden along the side of the cabin where I plan to grow tomatoes, okra, peppers, chillies, melitzania, and physalis. I might even throw in a cucumber.

ReplyDeleteWonderful range views... that truck is going to need extra special TLC! One thing is for sure, nothing these days lasts longer than dollars paid for it. Sometimes less. YAM xx
I have to look up a couple of the things you're going to plant. Those are amazing mountains. What a view.
ReplyDeleteWondrous mountain scenery.
ReplyDeleteWe were discussing warranties this morning. There is a big electric vehicle bubble about to burst.
yum, and I love cucumbers.. mother used to make great little sandwichs from the ones daddy grew. I love that truck, would like to have it and drive it
ReplyDeleteLooks like that truck is headed for renovation..a good solid beast!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great truck. I bet you were intrigued after all your own restorations.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the summer garden. The weather is very iffy here. Much cooler and high winds. Not what I want on my summer, OK late summer, holidays
We've had the same weather, typical Spring I guess, I know thart Arthur's pass has had snow but none on the mountains here.
