I'm really late for Friday linky with Rosie over at LLB but this bright colour plant has been lurking in my photos for a couple of weeks - real blues are so rare in nature
Ceanothus or Californian lilac. They can be a scruffy looking bush or an absolute sea of blue. Scully was very patient while I got some close ups in windy weather.

Gorgeous colour.

ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!! YAM xx
I have one blue bush left in the yard, and the rain we had brought it back with a few blue flowers, but the rain left a month ago and not a drop and now the blue is gone.. it is a rare color, and I do like these bushes
ReplyDeleteGrandma's favourite...I wonder if she had that in her Adelaide garden?
ReplyDeleteI love blue flowers, including ceanothus. These used to appear on the large hill behind our house but have disappeared over the years. It was lovely to see that blue haze on the hillside in the distance. Very nice photos!
ReplyDeleteCeanothus is lovely and comes in so many shades of blue.
ReplyDeleteI love blue flowers and that is a lovely shade. Bluebellsđź’™
