Grass

C'mon, let's go walking

Toi toi - native grass

Some kind of mold or very flat lichen the develops on bare clay surfaces - like the track - and kind of eats into the clay.

  2. Good work Scully!

Nice to see the Toi toi instead of the invasive pampas grass...it is a nuisance here too. I wonder if the lichen feeds on the vegetable matter in the clay?

G'day, Scully and F... what a lovely walk you had, with great views and interesting green stuff. I am rather fond of grasses, and the Toi Toi is something I would like in my garden (if I still had one!) The other item does look very lichen-like... Anyway, Scully mate, good to see you back regulating F's recreational exercise time! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. Bright sunshine and sharp shadows - lovely to see them on this chilly December morning.

  7. These photos are so nutritious! I would so rather be in your shoes right now! Your photos are light in this darkest of winters up here! Thank you for the uplifting shots!
