Scully here ... I've been away on holiday. My family took me with them and we were away for 10 days. As soon as I got back I raced up to F's little wooden home and did cuddles with Mr B but F wasn't there. I insisted on going out to survey the estate. She had to be out there somewhere.
Next day I turned up early to check again and she was there. I jumped on the bed and I wiggled and wiggled.
We don't seem to have done as much walking this week - F and Mr B are building a shed. It's not a pretty shed, but it does have the advantage of being on piles so I can hang out underneath where it's shady and a breeze might ruffle my furs.
Sometimes when we go walking Mr B comes too and that means the walks are shorter and 'civilized' but I like any kind of walk.
F has however been throwing herself in the sea quite often. It's disconcerting and I had to swim out and rescue her the first time I saw her do it. Today I ran along the shore looking my most concerned and decided to swim a a parallel course closer to the shore until Mr B turned up and I pleaded with him to do the rescuing.
F has threatened me with something called a 'doggy life jacket'. I have yet to see what that is and reserve my right to refuse to wear any kind of jacket.

It might be worth trying that doggy lifejacket Scully...it could lead to being somewhere cooling when it gets hotter...
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Scully. Perhaps you shouldn't go away on holiday again. Heaven knows what F will get up to in your absence.
ReplyDeleteI am so relieved you are back home and that you now are back to your routine of belonging to two families at one time.. ho ho ho on the civilized walking. That is all Beau knows, not sure what he would do in wooded areas. He has never attempted to get in the pool. glad you have a lifeguard buddy to help guard your 2nd mama

ReplyDeleteOh Scully, it's so good to see you - you were missed on this side of the screen! (And naught intermutts for not bringing your post to me in timely fashion, here I am a day late...) I hope you enjoyed your howliday with the furmily, but it's lovely that you missed the support group and checked on them directly.
As to the water jacket - might be worth a try - you might find all sorts of new adventures because of it! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
