Scully here - Not funny. My Mum laughed and laughed when they told her they'd put a life-jacket on me.
It made my legs go limp.
We tried it again by the sea and I refused to go in and get it wet. I did however relent when they chucked 'puppy'* in the pond by the boat trailer park. It sort of makes my tail stick up out of the water, but it makes having a good shake-off a bit difficult.
F says I have to wear it if I'm on the paddleboard or on the new kayak thing they have bought. That hasn't got here yet....
Yours
Scully
*Puppy is a much loved (and much chased and juggled) tennis ball. Puppy also gets cuddled when Scully curls up on her bunk.
Oh Scully. But as mothers say everywhere ' it's for your own good'.
ReplyDeleteNow you really can go everywhere together

ReplyDeleteOh, Darling Scully... I think you will get used to that pretty quick once you realise that having it on means going on watery adventures!!! Meanwhile, you and your furmily and F and Mr B, be sure have a safe and joyous Hogmanay, as we welcome in 2026!!! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
Scully, you will be thankful for your life-jacket if you're ever caught out in treacherous waves - or just fall off into deep water miles from dry land. I saw your tail wagging, so you enjoyed all the fuss, really.
ReplyDeleteOoh, just look at that tail wagging!!
ReplyDeleteHello there Scully. Rules are rules Scully…it’s like seat belt on once you sit in a car - so life jacket on once you get in or onto something that floats in the water.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you - and F and Mr B. Going to be a good one, I can definitely feel it in my bones
Oh I think you look adorable wearing it.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course safety counts when on the water.
Your humans love you very much and want to have you around for a long time
Oh the embarrassment .. haha... If I got ta lifejacket for Oscar he'd run a mile, not because of wearing it but rather that he might have to go near water (otherwise know as 'the big blue wet thing...' !!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and Scully and family! Good job!! There are two lifejackets belongs to my Angel sibs Momo and Pinot in my mum's closet. I am sure she will bring one of these one day... I may have to text you what to do..... BOL
ReplyDeleteIt's better for Scully to be safe if something happened on the water.
