I'm still doing alarm-clock for F and her spare human 5 or 6 days a week (7 if they are lazy about getting up on Sundays). Frost seems to delay their start of day some days. Yesterday it was frost laid down overnight topped by a dense fog that rolled in after daybreak. That hung around chilling bones until the sun rose above the hill about 1045 and burned all the white stuff away.

| … like this |
Turning up late can be a bit of a lottery - some days there is porridge in my bowl, some days the humans have eaten all the porridge and left none for me.
I levy a higher rate of cheese tax if there's no porridge.
School holidays this week mean that although my human sisters are home, my humum is tearing about doing stuff to entertain them and I don't get to go along.
Never mind there are builders to supervise at F's place and the days have turned sunny again so I can nap in the middle of F's paddock, or yip at the builders to play football with me.

You make a delectable sausage roll, Scully. Being an alarm clock is a responsible job. It's carried out by a cat here.
ReplyDeleteThe indignity!!
ReplyDeleteI like the sausage roll..a very good winter idea.
Supervising builders sounds great fun xx

ReplyDeleteScully, mate, you have it sorted! Mr B attending to your massage and 'me time' needs, F and Mr B making sure the food taxes are up to date, the builders ensuring they follow your snoopervision and play ball as required... all-in-all it's a dog's life! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh that last photo. He really does look like he was caught doing something he shouldn’t.
ReplyDeleteIt’s been cold and foggy here too. I think the sausage roll technique is a great way to stay warm
"... spare human..." ha ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute all rolled up in your blankie, Scully. I wish we had frost here!

ReplyDeleteWhen our pup rolled in a blanket like that , we called it a pooch burrito. It must feel so secure to them, like swaddling .
