With Mr B half a world away I can set up my sewing machine without apology for consuming space in a small room. I reckon I can afford replacement work clothes from charity shops around town but it's more fun and satisfaction to repair stuff and make it do another turn.
Hand-stitched a patch on the knee of my leggings.
In my limited unpacked sewing supplies bright uellow thread was the best I had available - it doesn't show in too many places.Patched up a t-shirt that wore into holes along the horizontal edges of one of those plasticky 'prints' applied to front and sleeves. The rest of the shirt has years of life in it 🤣
Turning old jeans into a car-seat cover. Photos to follow...presently looking like a big piece of denim so no imagination need be wasted on that.
Yes - still knitting but it's a bigger project so I'll save that.
My friend and former Havant Repair Cafe colleague (she is still there, I'm not), asked me to help increase circulation of this little video about the efforts of Repair Cafes in Hampshire, England. You'll need FB to look at it I guess:

With repairing out of the way I might move on to making some curtains or blinds for the cabin. I need to get creative with the available (lack of enough) matching fabric.
Busy day outdoors - planted some bergamot (herb), some pineapple sage and common sage, had loads of visitors, went to a community meet and greet (usual suspects attended, too much desireable food - then met some community newcomers on my way home and they hadn't known it was on.... everyone drives past the community notice board at the bridge into the bay.) Needed a nap when I got home but neighbour wanted a chat and there were plants to water. Some seeds have sprouted a mere three days after I sowed them - Oriental Cabbages, lettuces, kale - hmmm perhaps the universe is telling me something about fresh greens in my diet.
