Blogger is messing about with photos again.

I've been messing about with woollen yarn.

And tea.
See what I mean? I turned the photo atound in my gallery and Blogger refuses to play nicely with any version of it now. Quite apart from the corruption the colour is also dulled out.

You are denied the opportunity to appreciate in full the glowing result of dying natural 'white' wool with black tea.

Here is the process repeated with a pale grey yarn.

In reverse order of course - as is natural.

Scouring charity shops, recently, for woollen yarn I scored a bag of balls of chunky knit in natural shades (black, brown, greyish, natural cream). I'm not keen on thick yarn and big needles but wool is wool and for $5 I can knit myself a vest/weskit. However the cream looked a bit stark - hence the dying.

It works for me.

Today 7 tradesmen; 3 builders, 3 blokes putting corrugated iron cladding on the walls, and a plumber testing the fire sprinkler system he has spent the last couple of days installing. It's all noise and activity atound here.  There is even singing (in Spanish) - La Bamba - a remarkably good voice and musicality.

Not too hot. No wind. High cloud. No rain.

Scully helped me to harvest some strawberries yesterday
If you could imagine a small dog harrumphing about delays to the walk program - then you would have a blog post with sound effects.

Today I need to get on with transferring seedlings into growing on compost.
