Measures for dealing with heat

F has learned that for keeping the inside cool it is better to keep the doors closed and the shutters down during the day.  It makes indoors pretty grim (dark), but it also helps keep the burglars out if we are not at home.

I have my own range of cooling equipment.

There's this gel thing that goes in the fridge overnight.....

The damp towel treatment ........

A fan... (well a thing that blows air, not your traditional fast-windmill thing)

And lying under the barbeque on the back balcony.....

F couldn't quite work this last one out until she realized there is a drain hole in the balcony just behind there and a gentle cooling draft comes up it when the onshore breeze from the sea starts up each day.
