Mediterranean Diet

Our walks get interrupted by long pauses outside bakery windows.  With Paske approaching they are particularly dressed up and colourful, but some of those little desserts are on display in every season.  I have had to put my foot down and tell her to 'stop this obsession and move along'.

It's not healthy.

Her response to that was - "Mediterranean Diet"

(Did you spot the chocolate mice?)

PS: By the way these are all different shops, all within a kilometre or so of where we live!  And F tells me there are more we didn't lurk around outside of.  She also said note that all photos are through windows or from OUTSIDE open doors.  Yeah sure.  I don't know what she does when she goes out without me.

  1. Thank goodness we don't live in a big city and there's a pandemic. What displays. I would've been in there daily. All we will be buying here is fresh tsoureki

    1. You are lucky not to live in the big city. All that choice makes it difficult to know which is the best one. F goes to a bakery that makes good rye bead and excellent olive bread, but we have no idea how to assess a good tsoureki. As for hte desserts.... we just stop and stare. (F says Melbourne has a whole street of shops with windows like those dessert sweets, all side by side.
We would never be able to walk the length of that street.)
