From one cathouse to two. F rearranged the cathouses to face each other and create a couple of small places they could hide in behind the arrangement.
It didn't take them long to move into the bigger cathouse. It had a kitten-sized teddy bear in it (we've no idea?? It's been there for months), and they cuddle up to the teddy when Miss C goes out for a break.
It's a totally concrete environment, so F took down a pot of catgrass for Miss C. Now it looks like they are cultivating a balcony garden.
Someone else left off a double cat bowl with milk in it. They are acquiring furnishings.
F is designing swinging toys (paper on a string) for them to jump at. They've started practicing springing at each other.
We are on the lookout for a piece of carpet or coire mat for them to claw in, and I can see them getting a sand or sawdust pit before long.... Kittens have a strange effect on humans. I can live with that as long as they don't move into my space.
They are already up to their elbows in Miss C's food. |
They certainly do have a strange effect on humans. More so than puppies …..well at least I think so 😊
ReplyDeleteCute! Adorable! Darling! Precious! all come to mind... plus they make me smile

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, maybe not on your home territory, Mr T... but they are getting some of the heart territory. Jus' sayin'... hugs and whiskeries YAM-aunty xxx
Maybe, but F believes in enriched environment. She's taking something away from them by 'domesticating' them so they are catchable aged 6 months or so, and believes therefore should give as much as practicable back in terms of development. Normal feral kittens would have grass and trees, and rock crevices to hide in, earth to toilet in etc. They would learn to hunt lizards and mice.....(i could teach them that bit) xxx Mr T
