Liquorice Allsorts

During our visit to Cosmozoo today I was so busy fielding my fans that I let F overlook the buying of treats. She had to be sent back while I waited at the till.

My favorites weren't stocked any more so she chose some new ones. They look like liquorice allsorts and I refuse to eat them

I'm Mr B's cat; I want the party mix, in garish colours, weird shapes, and artificial flavours unsuggestive of any natural ingredients.

Having said that I could easily imagine Mr B eating liquorice allsorts.

  1. No matter what flavour those are I can't stand them too, I'm with you on that one.

How weird, I was thinking about licky-all-sorts just a couple of days back. For heaven alone knows why. Anyway. What a downer - are the favoured treats stopped altogether or simply awaiting an order arrival? Whatever is to replace them if the former??? We await with interest. 1. We don't know but Mr T is such a fussy b... (he would say 'gourmet') that even if we got he last preferred ones, he might never touch them again. Imagine some decadent Roman reclined at his dining arrangements waving the slave aside with 'I'm bored with caviar, that's so yesterday. Bring me something new." That has given me an idea for doctoring a photo.... F

  3. they do resemble licorice and i don't eat licorice so am voting with you and the multicolored treats of Mr. B. about paving paradise. downtown has been busy tearing down historic buildings and building new ones that look old. they tore down 3 old ones to make the parking garage becuase the 3 parking lots with meters to park, they built build buildsing. down town is now all paved except for a few patches of trees and flowers. the reason is the couthouse and lawyers need room to spread out. and all the crooks and theives need places to park to go to court.

    1. That did make us laugh. F's old home town of Dunedin in NZ actually starting making an effort over 30 years ago to make sure that new buildings in the old city area had similar proportions and roof angles, and certain architectural features, and spacings between them which, even though modern, tied them into the general style of the other buildings in area they were being redeveloped into. Some would argue that means a city can never renew itself or change its image, but it kept the place feeling like home, like the city we all knew we belonged to. And we got modern buildings with energy efficiency and better natural light (glass was a rarer commodity in the early days of the city - so windows small), and more sensible ceiling heights and better layouts for modern working and living, and we got to keep the general feel of our streets and greenery as well.
Hills help - lots of Dn can't really be built on so there is always going to be green space.

  4. I have just bought Oscar some fish treats (cod sticks) - outrageously expensive , so he had better like them!!! I've been away for a few days and missed him terribly - can't quite belive it... Isn't it the dogs that are supposed to miss us?
