in USA eggs are sold in dozen or 18 eggs in cartons that are enclosed, have to open each one to see if they are cracke. they always have a few sold by half dozen for those who live alone. have never seen them anywhere but the grocery stores, not in our flea markets.
Three kinds of onions, spices, all those dried beans and pulses. I'd be standing there with my mouth open not knowing what to choose. We do go to the big laïkis in Nafplio or Ermioni a couple of times a year but they are nothing compared to your blocks and blocks of stalls
When tourists rave about Greece, they never mention this experience and I think it is the aspect of life here that I will be most sad to leave behind. Not just the food but the people who grow it and sell it.

DeleteSo much of everything, I wouldn't know what to choose first although onions are a favourite in our house.
