A Really GOOD Day

There she was just a walkin down the street...

...guiding my Donkey and shuffling her feet

Tip my hat here, a nod over there, a wink to the marmalade tabby by the school....

We were overtaken at the corner near the V-E-T by a shaven k9 driving a blue car. At least I think it was driving. It was hanging itself out the window on what in my estimation should be the driver's side. The haircut looked a bit 'cult'.

We passed the white cat that lives in the opticians; napping in the window display. We've seen it in there even after closing time and lights out. Maybe it's the night watch cat.

K9 with a bandaged front paw sitting patiently by the apartment building door. F reckoned it was no threat to a feline and we didn't cross the street. Poor pup.

Crikey there's another k9 driving a car; at least it still had its hair on.

Tabby cat outside the betting shop (its food is served up in and ashtray with beer logos in the bottom); she always gives me a hard stare before skidaddling into the big pot plants beside the outdoor seating.

K9s bark at us from balconies. F always winds them up by looking at them and whistling. One day that's going to catch her out, a balcony railing will give way under the vicious onslaught and a gnashing, snarling, k9 shaped bundle of teeth and bad attitude is going to fall on us from a great height.

That is going to make being shat on by a seagull look like a really GOOD day!

  2. What an intimidating look you have there, Tigger. If I were there, I would be sure to have a treat in my hand for bribery…..

  3. You certainly do make an impression on those you pass by
If the balcony did come crashing down I think the K9 would be the least of your worries
Have a great day and stay away from those flying seagulls

  4. It's all happening in your neighbourhood!
Gail narrowly missed a direct hit emanating from a loose-bowelled seagull while walking into town yesterday...

    1. Gail 1/Seagull 0 - but you know it's a game with the seagulls; they will keep trying (or steal your ice-cream as some kind of revenge).

  5. now i have THAT song running in my mindwheel. I enjoyed the walk down the street and saw everything you saw, and glad I could not feel a SPLAT. never a boring moment on the streets is what this sounds like. our streets are pretty boring compared to yours.

    1. forgot to comment on your comment. yes the house is baking from loss of the trees, and it is actually too bright. we to open all blinds and curtains at dawn to let in as much light as we can. shaded light is perfect. it is what it is though. we also love looking out every window and seeing green trees and flowers and now we can SEE all the neighbors ONLY and they can SEE us. again it is what it is

  6. I'm imagining Tigger thinking wow what is that at the shaved pooch, at least he wouldn't be cold in Summer with that fur-do
