Most weekends this month there has been a yacht race day. One of them had the windward mark set in front of our apartment. Today they seem to be sailing towards Aegina.

In close and near the front - Dehler 30OD (30 foot one design) Mr B drooled a little..... |

Chasing... |

A wider view... 2 30ODs being chased across our bay |

These were either Tailend Charlies, or the leaders of Class II (cruising boats) |
|
Smart, and to be fair, far from being Tailend Charlie; about 30 more boats came round the corner after them. |
There is talk we might go to Nafplio to visit some friends who have arrived there on their cruising yacht. The last photo they sent was them riding camels in Tunisia. They have cats sailing with them. Not my bag but some cats are just chilled that way.

ReplyDeletePawhaps when you board the big ferry, Tigger mate, you will discover your inner ship's cat leanings? I love all these piccies with unobstructed view. As you will have noted from my own shipping shots, rooves and chimnies tend to photobomb! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
It looks very tranquil. Friends of ours were out sailing yesterday with a pub lunch too. It sounded lovely, but they are retired now and so can really enjoy it. Arilx
ReplyDeleteso beautiful and I know you will all three miss your spectacular view from your windows. I did not know cats could sail. Beautiful ship, the last one. Reminds me of my teen years when I loved all things pirate ad swashbuckler tales and books
ReplyDeleteI've heard of adventurous cats who go to sea, and wonder how they like it
ReplyDeleteThere is always something interesting to see out on the water, isn't there?
