All done - wrecked, rebuilt, painted and the carpet fixed where we pulled out an old (ugly) built-in desk. I supervised it all.

Now there are more cupboards to explore and drawers to keep things in and F has threatened us all with dire consequences if things are actually kept in there. She figures everything we already have has a home, and filling these drawers would suggest we are acquiring MORE stuff. Mr B does have a habit of acquiring stuff.... click to purchase is just too easy. F has a 'one in, one out' rule but if Mr B can get things delivered while she is in London she might never know those things arrived......
Boud over at Field and Fen has been 'winnowing'. F did a lot of that before and after our move to Greece and again before and after our move back, but she says we still have far too much 'stuff'. Winnowing therefore, might have to be an ongoing process in our house; an endless battle against accumulation.
So, why did she get extra storage built if we are not allowed to use it? Well our bedrooms are small and this one can't afford floor space for conventional furniture, but it had all this unused space in the side loft. The project is meant to make the place more attractive when the time comes to sell it.
I just like the idea that there now is more floor space where I can follow the sun about ....
You have been very busy Tigger and are very talented. Did you find the drill paw friendly?
ReplyDeleteVery smart. I wonder how long before that space is filled?
ReplyDeleteI like your method of supervising, Mr T. Minimal energy expended.
Looks clean and tidy. I agree with F. One thing in means one thing out! Doesn't happen in our house but it's a good idea lol
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteWell, I think that looks like a smashing job, Tigger - and you could defnitely make a decent nest in one or other of those drawers! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Great job with the cupboards, and all no doubt down to your excellent supervisory skills Tigger.
ReplyDeleteGail aasks is there going to be a sweepstake on how long the drawers remain empty...?
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
I love this idea, it is truly a super idea.. no furniture, no where for bob to Hang things, i am wondering why the knobs are at the very top, I don't think i could reach those to open the closet. the best of the idea is your two story condo/bed. wow, I agree 100 percent about the AI is not something I am hapy with
ReplyDeleteI love a bit of storage - nothing better than a good potter and sort. I spent last weekend preparing our old house for sale; I'm determined to minimise the 'stuff' we carry around from house to house.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shoutout! Windowing is really a way of life around here.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh it would make an excellent craft room!
ReplyDeleteI do love the way you have used the space. Well done
Your supervisory skills are second to none, Mr T, and the results are splendid.
ReplyDeleteWe could do with some winnowing here, but, you know, Nature abhors a vacuum and so does Barry. We really should move, if only to get road of shedloads of 'stuff', most of it hung onto 'in case'. . .
Humphrey considers the staff to be rather ruthless and ungrateful for the speed at which they declutter the ex rodents he has so carefully brought in for them!! Arilx
ReplyDeleteLove your supervisor's office, Tigger :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks way good, no doubt Tigger was busy supawvising. Nice to see he has his own hidey hole.
