Triple Glazing

My friend James who cleans the windows (he of the shared ham sandwiches) also paints houses.  F decided my house needs new coat of paint.  Mr B contracted James to do it.  Unlike my humans, his chin is a long way above the ground and he can reach even higher, so he might not even need a ladder to paint my house.

I don't know for sure whether he uses a ladder as I have been banned from going outside to supervise.  Last time any house painting was going on around here I walked in a loaded paint tray and left footprints on the drive. (I should check to see if they are still there.)

Meanwhile our windows are triple glazed; well have a third layer that I guess stops paint going on them - after all it will be James cleaning it off again.   James very kindly left a gap in the window of my office so that I can see out to supervise him from there.

  2. Oh I forgot to ask if you’d make sure F has this link. It’s to a free download of Seven Little Australians. Project Gutenberg is a great (safe) place for free copies of old stuff

    1. Very cool thanks - F has used project Gutenberg for other very old books [some of the travel writing of Samuel Clemens (middle name Longhorn - what were his parents thinking? - aka Mark Twain). He travelled extensively and his writings are humorous and self-deprecating.]

  6. I think keeping you inside is a great idea. Although I applaud your artistic endeavours
I think kitty foot prints all over the place might be a tad too creative

  7. I walked in F's printing ink in Greece and decorated the white tiled balcony....Unfortunately it washed off.

Oh I say, a fresh exterior to match the fresh interior; would't it be grand if we all could 'redecorate' ourselves and be refreshed like that? I trust that when James is done, you will be pawmitted to at least do the sign off on the completion? Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  9. Tigger you tall guy must be like my son Dan, the one with 6 cats and 6 ferals. he is 6'5" and top of my head comes under his chin. He can reach the ceiling and lay his hand on it. If he were painting he would be kind and leave spaces for you to see out. he has to be a great worker because his love cats. still smiling about the foot prints, let us know if they are still there.

  10. My late beloved kitty Boud left her pawprints on a print I was making, then on the wall as she leapt down from the ink tray. Silver! I left them as collaborative art.

  11. Triple glazing is what we need (but don't yet have) in chilly Aberdeen.

  12. Humphrey says it's worth stepping in the wet paint on the freshly painted doorstep and then pawprinting them onto the tiles....the staff weren't very impressed and there they remain to this very day!
