Loads of these turban shaped pumpkins are still sitting in what little winter sun makes it into our dining room and I have been working on using every pumpkin recipe I have: soup, sweet and savory pies, cakes, loaves and muffins....and fondue!
This one would have fed 4 generously - or two of us and a couple of lunches for me
Has anyone else got a novel pumpkin recipe they can share / recommend?

ReplyDelete...but wait... from whence the pumpkin stack??!!! Your allottment, or a bargain grocery run... anyhoo, the fondue sounds like a good go! I find it hard to just go beyond a decently roasted pumpkin slice that has been tossed in a little seasoning then drizzled with maple syrup... YAM xx
The turban pumpkins are so attractive, particularly the striped ones.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of that pumpkin fondue, but, oh all that cheese! My waistline would protest I think.
ReplyDeletesorry, I have never cooked a real pumpkin of any kind, twice in my life i bought one for the kids to make a jackolantern and that was 50 years ago. this looks really good and I have wondered what people do with those cute pumpkins other than decorate for fall... hope some that cooks and can follow a recipe has something for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to have a go at growing some pumpkins this year. I only know pumpkin 🎃 soup.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of pumpkin fondue. The cheese bit anyway...
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.
