A week or two back I asked the blogosphere for lemon recipes without sugar. Here is what I have to offer in exchange. You can tell it is a well stained recipe.
It says chicken or pork....
This doesn't use masses of lemon but lemon does make significant contribution to the flavour.
For a domestic quantity chop your chosen meat into cubes or strips and marinate it in the following before threading it on skewers to barbecue or grill:
6 teaspoons soy sauce
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 clove of garlic (minced or crushed)
Juice and rind of a lemon
2 tsp coriander (the ground up seeds)
1 tsp chili sauce (choose your own heat)
Pinch of chili powder or flakes
(And did you know that diaries can be recycled every 11 years. This one will be day/date accurate again in 2027.)
The eagle eyed among you will notice that the ceviche recipe below it uses even more lemon juice.
Sounds yummy. Perfect for a summer bbq.
