Biggify this photo and you will catch a glimpse of my stalker.
It (he or she) follows me about outdoors scooping up some of the scores of sandflies I disturb (and which seem to hover about in my own personal cloud). It has even flown between my legs on occasion - no fear.Piwakawaka is, to gardeners here, what robins are to gardeners in the UK

That's a sweet stalker!
ReplyDeleteI love piwakawaka... another thing that I miss from there

ReplyDeleteCutie! Is Scully getting better at ignoring them... YAM xx
Scully has always managed to ignore piwakawaka for some reason. I've not yet deprogrammed her determination to scatter quails but she ignores little birds on the feeders now. I have a theory about that - in the winter i fed them fat. If she scared them they dropped whatever they were carrying away. Sometimes I'd catch her hovering up fat scraps. Now they are on plain seeds.
